Sarah McCusker, LCSW
My hope as a therapist is to provide a compassionate environment where I can support clients in developing greater self-awareness, improving relationships and navigating life’s challenges. My process is eclectic and collaborative with a strong foundation in attachment, relational and psychodynamic theories.
I received a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California and most recently I have been on staff with the Los Angeles LGBT Center as a clinical therapist. I have experience working with a broad range of clinical issues and populations.
I was raised in the south, and worked and lived in New York and New Orleans before settling down in Los Angeles. I understand both the discomfort and growth that comes from making changes, and the value in knowing you don’t have to do it alone. I am particularly passionate about working with clients exploring their relationship to substances, navigating aspects of identity and supporting families and relationships in transition.
