Sarah Frank-Meltzer, LCSW
I provide a warm, empathic environment while encouraging open exploration of your experiences and emotions. My hope is that in this process you'll come to understand yourself in a more meaningful way and feel empowered to make positive, lasting changes in your life.
I received my Master of Social Work degree from University of Southern California and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northwestern University. I worked at NCJW/LA's community mental health clinic, providing support to individuals, couples and groups across a range of issues. During my time there, I gained experience and training in relational, experiential and mindfulness-based therapies. I also worked with children and adolescents in school settings, offering counseling and workshops intended to help with emotional regulation, manage stress, and increase effective communication.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in advertising and the entertainment industry. My own background gives me insight into the emotional and practical lives of creative professionals. I'm also passionate about working with clients on relationship challenges, exploring family dynamics and issues of self and identity.
